FCA director Nick Poyntz-Wright exits

The Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) director of long-term savings and pensions Nick Poyntz-Wright has left the regulator amid a reshuffle of senior staff.

Poyntz-Wright (pictured) left the regulator earlier in the summer as his role, which included responsibility for both pensions and the supervision of financial advisers, was transferred to former director of retail supervision and authorisations Linda Woodall in the newly created post of director of life insurance and advice.

Poyntz-Wright had been at the regulator since 2011, having joined from his role as chief executive of Skandia. He worked at Skandia since 1995 in a variety of roles and stepped down as chief executive in April 2010 after six years in the post, and was replaced by Peter Mann. Read more at City Wire
