“Pear Talent was founded because I saw an opportunity to launch a niche recruitment consultancy for the mid to senior level of the insurance finance market. It has rarely been more challenging than it is today for clients to identify and attract the best talent; likewise,  for candidates and clients to find a credible and trustworthy agency to partner with for the long-term. 

The market is overpopulated with database-driven agencies trying to cater for every aspect of the sector, often over reliant on ‘proactive’ candidates using job boards and similar mediums, coupled with consultants who have limited knowledge of the insurance sector or meaningful networks within it. Therefore, consistent delivery, as well as quality and continuity of service, suffer as a result. 

I wanted to grow a business founded on a reputation for integrity which would be recognised as a trusted partner in the market, based on significant industry experience and built around trusted consultants with their own established networks.

Our clients and candidates therefore benefit from an informed and consultative approach that is in tune with market movements and industry developments –  not just focussed on filling the next vacancy. We partner with a comprehensive candidate market, which crucially includes ‘passive’ talent that we’re able to identify and engage with through innovative methods, due to the credibility of our established reputation.

It is because of this approach and our intimate understanding of the market that our clients and candidates return to us time and time again, often working with us exclusively and recommending us to their colleagues.”
