Pear Talent is representing an growing Financial Services business who have an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Finance Manager to be the no.2 to the Head of Finance. Reporting to the Head of Finance and with daily interaction with the CFO, you’ll lead a team of 4 with responsibility for all key financial reporting and FP&A, including delivery of the strategic plan. You will also need to provide development and guidance to the team whilst leading them through a new financial improvement programme.
Key accountabilities:
- Lead the financial (IFRS) and management reporting, ensuring that outputs are accurate and continuously improving efficiency
- Lead the plan and 3yr forecast, as well as providing management information and analysis to the CFO/Board
- Deputise for the Head of Finance
- Ensuring the finance team is motivated and performing to the highest standard
- Take an active business partnering role, supporting the business in order to deliver on its commercial taregts
- Taking a proactive approach to develop finance systems and tools, in order to support the demands of future growth
- Partner with the Finance Operations team as required
Required experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with post-qualified experience gained in a regulated FS company
- Strong previous financial reporting experience (IFRS)
- Previous FP&A experience is not essential
- Ideally previously managed small teams, but not essential
- Ability to gain credibility with senior stakeholders, especially FD level
- Able to work effectively across across other departments
- Strong presentation skills and people skills, good influencer
