Pear Talent is representing an international FS business who are looking for an Interim Head of Group Financial Reporting for 12mths+ to lead a team delivering all key financial and regulatory reporting, whilst working closely with the Group FC, CFO and Board to improve financial management and influence strategic decision making.
Key accountabilities:
- Significant day-to-day interaction with both subsidiary and Group FC, CFO and CEO.
- Manage a team on and off-shore delivering the Group’s consolidated financial statements (IFRS), internal MI, forecasts, board reporting, 3yr financial plans and the annual budget.
- Attend monthly meetings with the subsidiary and group CFO’s to discuss their financial results.
- Manage the Group’s working capital, dividend flows and the capital maintenance of the subsidiaries.
- Partner with all elements of the business on complex transactions and accounting issues.
- Continuous engagement with the individual subsidiaries and other functions such as the Group’s legal, Treasury, Tax and M&A teams on specific projects or transactions.
- Actively challenge the status-quo of current processes and systems, exploring any potential improvements
- Ensure the finance team is motivated and performing to the highest standard
Required experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience gained in FS
- Proven track record of managing significant external financial reporting processes under IFRS
- Ability to quickly gain credibility at senior levels within the business and demonstrate both first class project management and communication skills
- Able to work effectively across across departments and experience of managing multi-location teams
- Strong presentation skills and people skills, good influencer
