Pear Talent is representing an established Financial Services business who have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant MI. You’ll play a central role in providing critical business performance insight and MI for the Board/Exec and shareholders, as well as contribute to a monthly CFO briefing on drivers of performance. You’ll also produce the front half of the Annual Report and Accounts, partnering with stakeholders across the business to finalise the results before announcing these to shareholders. It’s a high-profile role with regular interaction with senior leadership, as well as supporting wider FP&A deliverables and Finance Change projects.
You’ll be expected to be able to quickly gain credibility with senior stakeholders and own key business relationships, as well as demonstrate first class project management and communication skills as work is often ad-hoc and project based.
Key accountabilities:
- Lead role in pulling together the financial results and non-financial information for the front half of the company’s accounts at full/half-year, business partnering with various teams and stakeholders across the company
- Own sections of the monthly/quarterly performance management information reports which are distributed to shareholders, Board and the Executive Committee.
- Partner with Strategy, FP&A and other areas of Finance to improve the commentary and analysis of the MI and performance insight
- Central involvement in a number of ad-hoc commercial events including supporting capital raises, shareholder queries, or providing due diligence on new business targets.
- Market and competitor/peer analysis and reviews as required
- Contributing to Finance change projects
- Support the wider finance team at year-end reporting and on the external audit process
Required experience:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with a strong academic record and previous Finanical Reporting, FP&A or MI experience in Finanical Services (adv. Insurance).
