Pear Talent is representing an established Financial Services business who have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager. Working for the Head of Finance you’ll play a key role in providing critical business performance insight and MI for the Board/Exec and shareholders, as well as monthly presentations to brief the CFO on drivers of performance. You’ll also own the front half of the Annual Report and Accounts, partnering with stakeholders across the business to finalise the results before announcing these to shareholders. It’s a high-profile role with regular Exec level interaction as well as supporting wider FP&A deliverables and Finance Change project.

You’ll be expected to be able to quickly gain credibility with senior stakeholders and own key business relationships, as well as demonstrate first class project management and communication skills as work is often ad-hoc and project based.

Key accountabilities:

  • Own financial business performance reporting business-wide including: the monthly/quarterly MI report and the monthly Exec Committee report
  • Partner with Strategy, FP&A and other areas of Finance to improve the commentary and analysis of the MI and performance insight
  • Lead on the front half of the annual report and accounts for the half/full year results, business partnering with various teams and stakeholders across the company
  • Responsible for the production of certain key Board papers (eg. dividend payment proposals etc)
  • Provide Finance Leadership Team with MI and financial insight on a portfolio of key change projects
  • Manage and mentor two qualified accountants

Required experience:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with a strong academic record and previous Financial Reporting, FP&A or MI experience in Insurance.
