Pear Talent is representing a fast-growing consultancy covering strategy, digital, M&A and risk in the Insurance industry looking for a Strategy Manager in the City. The FT ranks them in the top 10 influential insurance consulting businesses in the UK, recognised for their thought leadership. Set up only a few years ago by a group of people frustrated with traditional consulting and looking to disrupt the status-quo, they combine the best of “big consulting” with the best of the start-up world.

Led by Partners who are recognised experts in the industry, they get properly involved in their clients’ situations and give practical, actionable advice – not just PowerPoint slides. Already their clients are a list of the who’s who in Insurance including: Aviva, AXA, Aon, Zurich, Swiss Re and Munich Re to name but a few.

The working environment is entrepreneurial: they have no set corporate rules and pursue opportunities that interest them. Naturally they expect a lot from their consultants, but they also treat the team with respect. Work hours are typically reasonable and you should not expect to have work over weekends.

  • Leading client-facing projects
  • Managing junior members of the team

  • Creating end to end client facing deliverables, with support from the partner
  • Analysing large datasets, creating reports and business cases
  • Working with implementation teams to turn strategy into reality
  • Developing the Company’s brand and position within the marketplace

  • Top-tier university graduate (minimum 2:1)
  • Prior experience in a strategy consulting firm (also consider in-house)
  • Strong strategy development, project management and client management experience
